About the Moderator: Dr. Sharrell D. Luckett is an accomplished scholar, artist, educator, and speaker specializing in Black performance and acting practices. She is Director of the Black Acting Methods® Studio and the Helen Weinberger Center for Drama and Playwriting at the University of Cincinnati, where she also serves as a Charles P. Taft Distinguished Professor of Drama and Performance Studies. A sought-after artist and educator, Luckett has held residencies at institutions including Lincoln Center, Harvard University, and 92Y. She is also the lead editor of Black Acting Methods: Critical Approaches, a groundbreaking collection exploring performance methods rooted in Black American culture.
About Juel D. Lane: Juel D. Lane is an award-nominated director, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work uses movement and storytelling to preserve culture and honor lived experiences. A proud Atlanta native and alumnus of Tri-Cities High School and the Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble, Lane has worked with acclaimed dance companies including Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE and Camille A. Brown & Dancers. His choreography has been featured by Ailey II, Atlanta Ballet, PHILADANCO!, and other leading institutions. He recently directed and choreographed Cinderella for True Colors Theatre.
About RAHBI: RAHBI is an Atlanta-born, genre-defying singer, songwriter, actor, and music director known for his bold artistry and electrifying performances. A former member of LaFace Records group 4th Avenue, he has toured internationally and performed at AFROPUNK and the Apollo Theater. He is the founder of STRANGE, Atlanta’s premier concert series, and serves as Music Director for the Black Acting Methods Studio. RAHBI was recently nominated for a 2026 Suzi Bass Award for Best Music Direction for True Colors Theatre’s Cinderella.
