ADAMA REIMAGINES
the ROLE of the MUSEUM.
Imagine a museum worthy of the culture that changed the world.
For generations, Atlanta has been celebrated as a global center of Black creativity. However, no major arts institution has risen to reflect that truth.Art is more than what we see. It is how we remember, how we connect, and how we ensure that the stories of our communities continue to be told for generations to come.
At the African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA), we believe in the transformative power of art to preserve cultural heritage, inspire dialogue, and connect communities across the African Diaspora.
Through exhibitions, artist-centered programming, educational experiences, and community engagement, ADAMA is creating a space where the richness and complexity of the African Diaspora are not only celebrated but preserved for future generations.
But this work requires a community of people who believe our stories matter.
